Echo Valley Arabians
offers beginner riding
lessons for students aged
6 & over year-round.
Lessons cover the basics
of Dressage,
and may be ridden in an
English or Western
saddle.
We also cover basic
horsemanship, such as
catching, leading,
grooming, and
tacking up.
Students may also
learn lungeing,
bathing, and
h halter/
showmanship.
As they progress,
students will have
the opportunity to
show off their
skills at local
horse shows and
events.

WHAT TO WEAR WHEN RIDING
Echo Valley requires long pants (preferably breeches), boots, and helmets. NO tennis shoes, shorts,
are allowed when riding. Riders arriving with such attire will be given an Unmounted Lesson.
Flip-flops and sandals are prohibited for safety reasons.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RIDING IN SUMMER:
Cool top, breeches or long pants, boots, helmet. BRING WATER BOTTLE or GATORADE
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RIDING IN WINTER:
Layer your clothing: tank top, topped by a t-shirt, then a long-sleeve shirt, then a jacket; breeches
tucked into knee-high socks, topped by sweat pants or comfortable jeans; riding gloves (no mittens
or bulky winter gloves); scarf around head / neck & under helmet.
